Knockdow House sits within its own 600 acre estate. Its location makes it perfectly suited for most outdoor pursuits, challenges or team building exercises.

The Mansion House has recently benefited from extensive renovation and now sits comfortably in the the 21st century with Wi-Fi and Cat6 cabling throughout.

The amply proportioned public rooms offer flexible space for larger get-together’s, and your clients or staff will be impressed by the luxurious surroundings. The layout has been designed to facilitate adaptable and functional private areas. These are naturally suited to break out groups or small workshops.

A large dining room can seat 24  and is easily configured as a ‘Board room’ for business meetings or presentation/media room if a more defined space were to be preferred. Many a strategy has been ironed out here.

The House has 11 bedrooms, each finished to an exceptional standard. All are double occupancy, some as doubles, others as twins. Each room features its own ensuite with deep bath to allow for a good soak after outdoor exertions.

Having been designed as a Laird’s home first and foremost, the comfortable environment is conducive to the sharing of ideas. The whole place exudes convivial atmosphere that results in great bonding and successful team building. Getting to Knockdow is very straight forward. We are only an hour and a half , door to door, from Glasgow International Airport , straight down the M8 to the ferry terminal, from where ferries leave every twenty minutes.  Edinburgh is only that bit further along the same motorway. The Ferry terminal at Mc Inroy’s Point, Gourock, is serviced by Western Ferries ( with boats running approximately every 20 minutes through most of the day.
